"I am writing to thank you sincerely for the outstanding effort you put into the recent San Rafael based certification courses. I actually wanted a university course, but found only a couple of these – both in the UK and both requiring weekend attendance once per month for the best part of a year – not easy to achieve from Australia!

I next sought certification training by a private organisation which provided a teacher who knew his/her stuff in both theory and practical arenas to a level that would challenge, excite to learn, and instil unsurpassed confidence. That’s when US hypnotherapy and NLP practitioner, Keith Livingston recommended your courses – without a moment’s hesitation. Every bit of research I undertook after speaking with Keith, led me to conclude that you and your course was the best option to provide what I was looking for, and so I ended up in the USA in late July.

So much for the background. Now to the main points of this letter.

As a university professor and professional speaker, I know what it’s like to stand in front of a group and speak without notes for an extended period of time, with people asking questions on little or no notice continually. I am exhausted after six hours of this, yet you seemed as fresh as a daisy after each ten hour day. More importantly, we delegates finished each of those (14) ten hour days as we might had we worked just a few hours. It takes a level of teaching expertise and subject knowledge that I am at a loss to describe to be able to achieve such a feat, and you are to be truly congratulated for your accomplishment.

I guess my main reason for writing is to let you know that the value you provide is so far in excess of anything it would be even remotely reasonable to expect, that it is simply astounding. Knowledge, insight, professionalism, technique, advice, elegance of structure and delivery, skills, theory – all exemplified on numerous occasions by your demonstrating various theories and techniques on people about whom you had no previous knowledge (and who in several instances had significant problems to address) and in front of an audience possessing at least sufficient knowledge to be somewhat critical, yet I was unaware of anyone in that group being in the least critical at any stage. Most were like me – thoroughly impressed!

I recall thinking after only a few days of this course that ‘this Janis Ericson woman truly has a gift.’ By the end of the course, I realised I was very much mistaken. Janis, you don’t have a gift –you are way beyond that. You are well and truly to the point where the gift has you, and the very nice thing about that, is you are completely unaware of it.

I have booked several days of work with international companies since beginning your course, and they will well and truly cover my investment in fees and fares - a not insignificant investment when travelling from Australia. I have not yet realised the income from those bookings, which take place in September and November this year. However, I have worked with a woman who has suffered from arachnophobia for 37 years. A hypno-regression techniques found her brother had put a piece of fruit (the family were farmers) with a ‘large hairy spider attached’ down her shirt unexpectedly when she was just seven years old. One rapid re-wind, a swish pattern and twenty minutes later, I escorted this woman to a loading dock in the building in which we conducted the session and watched her smile from ear to ear as she placed her hand within a few centimetres of a spider in a web, completely without fear. At that moment I knew my investment was more than justified, as the feeling I experienced is simply beyond my capacity to describe.
